Welcome to OpenHiking(Maps)!

OpenHiking is a non-profit project, it's maintained by enthusiast and volunteers.
We create free, community-based digital maps mainly for hikers covering the Central European region, for Garmin handheld devices (navigators, smart watches) and for smartphones (Android, iPhone).

Our current offering covers countries of Central Europe, the Balkan Peninsula and the Scandinavian Peninsula. The maps are recreated regularly: the most popular maps weekly, the others monthly or quarterly.

Our Garmin maps are available since early 2022. In 2023, we extended our offering with Mapsforge formatted maps targeting smartphones.
